• Principal Research Scientist with > 30 years of synthetic experience in drug discovery at Sandoz and Wyeth.  Provided chemistry support for a variety of therapeutic areas including CNS, Cardiovascular, Metabolic Disorders, Inflammation and Immunomodulation.

• Participated in the challenging Rapamune (Rapamycin) Program with the goal of selective derivatization of the immunomodulator  Rapamycin.  These efforts led to an improved IP position and the identification of Torisel ®.

• Chemistry Team Leader of ER/NFkB project for rheumatoid arthritis.   Developed a lead series resulting in the clinical candidate SIM-916.

• Identified LXR-623 as a clinical candidate in the cardiovascular project targeting the LXR receptor. Optimized the physicochemical properties of one of the indazole lead series.
